The DNR ban on all outdoor burning for Vilas County has been lifted. Burning Regulations are still in effect and Burn Permits are required. You can get further information and obtain a free permit from Fire Wardens George & Barb Zima (479-4669),the DNR Ranger Station adjacent to the County Highway Dept. (479-4771) or at Knitts Hardware in St. Germain. Even with a permit, before you burn, you are required to either call 1-888-WIS-BURN (947-2876) for daily restrictions, (Vilas Co. is #64) or log onto the DNR Burn Conditions website to see if any emergency bans have been imposed.
Load limit restrictions on Cloverland Town Roads will be removed on Thursday morning, April 8 at 8:00 A.M.
The Town Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday April 13, 7:00 p.m. at the town hall. It is the one scheduled meeting at which the electors, (and not only the board members), have the opportunity to act directly on certain items and issues.
